SV4E-DPTXCPTX MIPI Transmit Device Emulator

The SV4E-DPTXCPTX MIPI Transmit Device Emulator is a compact, all-in-one system-level tester designed for fast screening, calibration, and optimization of MIPI®-enabled devices such as display panels, driver ICs, image signal processors, and microcontrollers used in mobile and IoT applications. With a dual-mode analog front-end, it functions as either a C-PHY℠ transmitter—supporting up to three trios—or a D-PHY℠ transmitter—emulating four data lanes and one clock lane—while offering signaling speeds up to 2.5 Gbps or 2.5 Gsps respectively.

Supporting full DSI℠, DSI-2℠, and CSI-2℠ protocol stacks, along with escape-mode and bus turn-around features, the SV4E-DPTXCPTX enables system-level, multi-protocol validation in realistic, high-integrity test environments. It integrates seamlessly with Introspect’s intuitive Pinetree software for both interactive use and full automation.

  • Software configurable as a C-PHY℠ or D-PHY℠ front-end
  • Up to 2.5 Gbps D-PHY and 2.5 Gsps C-PHY signaling
  • Full DSI℠, DSI-2℠, and CSI-2℠ protocol stacks, escape-mode and bus turn-around capabilities
  • All-in-one system helps create a system-oriented testing methodology

The SV4E-DPTXCPTX is a highly-integrated system-level tester that facilitates the rapid screening, calibration, and optimization of MIPI® enabled devices, including display panels or driver ICs, advanced image signal processors, and microcontrollers used in mobile or IoT applications.

As a C-PHY transmitter, the SV4E-DPTXCPTX emulates a single port with up to three trios. As a D-PHY transmitter, it emulates up to four data lanes and one clock lane. The SV4E-DPTXCPTX’s unique dual-mode D-PHY/C-PHY analog front-end not only allows engineers to perform multi-protocol validation, but its excellent signal integrity and robust reliability also allow design and test engineers to easily create a realistic test setup where the device is run as close as possible to the end-user experience.

The SV4E operates with Introspect’s easy-to-use, highly versatile software environment, Pinetree, which enables interactive operation or full automation.
